Greek Turkey Burger with Tzatziki Sauce

Ingredients

Tzatziki Sauce

  • 1 cucumber

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt

  • Juice from 1/2 lemon

  • 1 tbsp fresh dill

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Turkey Bugers

  • 1 lb ground turkey

  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion

  • 1/4 cup feta

  • 1 tbsp fresh dill

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp oil

Makes 4 burgers

Directions

Tzatziki Sauce:

  1. Line a bowl with paper towels and shred/grate cucumber into the bowl. Use paper towels to squeeze excess liquid from the cucumber, then transfer cucumber back to bowl and discard towels.

  2. Mix in Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, salt and pepper.

  3. Refrigerate tzatziki sauce until ready to serve.

Turkey Burgers:

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground turkey with red onion, feta, dill, oregano, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, salt and pepper. Form into 4 patties.

  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook burgers, 8-10 minutes or until cooked thoroughly, flipping halfway.

  3. Top burgers with a scoop of tzatziki sauce and more fresh dill.
